Personalized Product Recommendations

Personalized Product Recommendations are a new effective marketing tool for better conversion and increased turnover.

Product Recommendations are generated based on your Product Feed and are (typically) distributed on your site according to the following structure:

  • Home/Main Page

    • “Popular Products” -  most suitable, for the given customer, products. Uncategorized.

    • “You May Also Like These” - most interesting, for the given customer, products. Uncategorized.

    • “Trending Products” - a selection of relevant to the customer current hour best sellers. Use this recommendation block when your daily turnover is over 200 orders.

  • Category Page

    • “Popular Products” - most suitable, for the given customer, products. Within a category.

    • “You Recently Viewed” - items the customer recently went through.

  • Product Detail Page

    • "Frequently Bought Together" -  most suitable, for the given customer, complimentary products.

    • "Similar Products" - a selection of available at the moment products within the category with the price difference -5% to +15%.

    • "Price Drop" button - automatic user notification when the product price in the next XML-file is lower than the previous one. If REES46 is unable to identify the customer, a subscription popup form is shown.

  • "Out of Stock" Page

    • "Similar Products" - a personalized selection of available at the moment products within the category with the price difference -5% to +15%.

    • “Back in Stock” button - automatic user notification when the product availability status changes from "Not Available" to "Available". If REES46 is unable to identify the customer, a subscription popup form is shown.

  • Shopping Cart Page

    • “Recommended For You” - most suitable for the given customer products based on the items currently in the Shopping Cart.

  • Search Results Page

    • “Customers Who Looked For This Item, Also Bought” - a personalized selection of products based on similar search queries of other customers.

  • "404 Not Found" Page

    • “You May Also Like These” - most interesting for the given customer products. Uncategorized.

  • Various Content Pages

    • “You May Also Like These” - most interesting for the given customer products based on the currently viewed page content. Uncategorized.


 

Design of Recommendation Blocks can be customized via our simple HTML editor in your personal account on rees46.com (Dashboard > Product Recommendations > Design). Customization is available when you start using at least one of our Recommendation Blocks in your online store.

Shared additional parameters for every type of Recommendation Block are:

Triggered Emails

This type of automatic emails is triggered by the actions of your visitors. Triggered Emails are an important part of any e` routine and help successfully retain and reactivate customers.

In total, REES46 supports 10 automatic trigger scenarios. These are:

Additional information: our Triggered Email delivery rate is 99,5%. All information on the Open Rate, CTR, Buying Rate and Unsubscripe Rate is available on the page of every Trigger Scenario. Once unsubscribed, the customer will never receive triggered emails until decides otherwise. By default, the customer receives one Triggered Email per day (number can changed in your personal account on rees46.com). Also, REES46 can be integrated with GetResponse, MailChimp, Ofsys and Optivo.

Digest Emails

REES46 strives to automate marketing as much as possible keeping in tact high productivity of the marketing services. Our ESP platform is developed to provide full cycle email marketing for the online store.

Digest Emails are emails with Personalized Product Recommendations used in mass marketing campaigns to reactivate and retain more customers.Typically, these campaigns are carried out before national holidays, big local events and upcoming sales.

REES46 features a smart and dynamic Audience Segmentation for highly precise targeting in your campaigns.

Remarketing: Abandoned Carts

Remarketing is used to reactivate visitors and customers of your store. It's an effective tool of any modern marketer.

Unlike Digest and Triggered Emails, Remarketing of abandoned carts doesn't require any explicit personal information from the visitor. No need to collect email addresses - REES46 Data Management tools automatically recognizes visitors (by cookies), who left items in the Shopping Cart, when they are on any third-party websites (incl. Facebook and other social networks) and displays a non-intrusive display ad featuring a few items from the Cart. Display ads are shown not more than ten times and not later than a week after the event.


Smart Audience Segmentation

Audience segmentation is used for highly precise targeting within the target group. REES46 features two types of segmentation:

  • Manual segmentation: done by you and takes a lot of time. You add email addresses to the target group created by you (e.g., users who bought brand X products in the category Y within last Z days).

  • Automatic ABC segmentation: dynamic smart segmentation done by us, according to the customer activity:

    • Segment A: top buyers (15% - customers, who generate 80% of all the purchases in the store)

    • Segment B: medium activity (35% - customers, who generate 15% of all the purchases in the store)

    • Segment C: "dormant" customers (50% - customers, who generate last 5% of all the purchases in the store)

Web Push Notifications

Web Push Notifications are the fastest way to deliver messages to your customers. They also have the higher readability rate.

The biggest advantage of Push Notifications is that they don't require any additional actions from the customer. Whereas classic emails require the customer to open the email account, open the letter and then look through the text, Push Notifications are instantly displayed with minimum text and maximum incentive for the customer to click on the image links. The best thing is Web Push Notifications pop up even if the customer has already left your online store. The only condition is that the user continues to use the same web browser.

Because no action other than once clicking "Allow to send notifications" popup button is required, Web Push Notifications have the open rate up to 90% and the highest sales, conversion and click-through rate.

 

Advantages of Web Push Notifications:

  • Average response time is 2 seconds whereas for a traditional email it's from 1 to 163 hours
  • No extra actions required from the customer.
  • Customer will see the message even if he left your store or minimized the browser.
  • Push messages are logged in browser history (unlike the mobile push notifications) to be read again at any moment.
  • Message length is up to 125 symbols while mobile notifications allow up to 60 symbols.

Good level of personalization:

  • We can create a dynamic target group on the go or you can create your own one for more precise targeting.
  • Each recipient will get a set of personal recommendations - products related to a recent purchases or the ones this customer looked at on the other websites (affiliate networks).
  • Available A/B testing and real-time campaign monitoring . Each link in the notification is supplied with UTM-parameters for real-time campaign metrics.
  • Triggered events are rapidly going out of fashion. "Abandoned Shopping Cart" reminders or "Recommended For You" items are guaranteed to be delivered in the time with Web Push Notifications.

IMPORTANT NOTE

For Web Push Notifications to work, your website must support HTTPS protocol and have an SSL-certificate and perform basic integration steps.

In case your site doesn't support HTTPS, you can use a REES46 sub-domain to carry out Web Push campaigns but it's really high time you thought about switching your online store to HTTPS mode as everybody else is working on that.


Additional information:

  • For proper functioning of Web Push Notifications, you must enable the subscription form on your website and gain some subscribers.
  • For Web Push Promotions you can set the caption, picture, message text, image links and ordinary links. Promotions are typically sent to the subscribers within the target groups.
  • For Triggered Web Push Notifications you can activate 6 available Trigger Scenarios: "Abandoned Cart Reminder", "Abandoned Cart Follow-up Reminder", "Monthly Inactivity", "Regular Purchase", "Back in Stock" and "Price Drop". Also, you can set the caption and message text.


How it works: subscription form is displayed 30 seconds after the browsing is started or immediately the next time this visitor comes to your store.


Niche Solutions

Every product category requires different selling techniques and recommendation algorithms. It's the same as in ordinary commerce - all specific characteristics of the product must be accounted for to successfully sell in this niche. Moreover, the product defines the customer meaning customer's behavior drastically changes from category to category. And even within the category. Take this example: in a fashion store a grown-up needs to be recommended gender-specific and brand-specific items whereas a kid needs to be recommended gender-specific and age-specific items.
